A devotional craft, taught with warmth and rigour
Harmonium Evolution exists for the people who feel called to play — for the kirtan leaders, the householders practising at dawn, the curious beginners who pressed a key and felt something shift. The brand should feel like a teacher who's walked the road and is genuinely glad you're here.
Visually that means warm cream backgrounds, deep indigo for trust and depth, burgundy for the heart of the practice, and taupe for the steady earth beneath everything. The signature is the magical treatment — indigo with gold and rose accents — reserved for moments of arrival: the cover, the final invitation, the threshold where someone says yes, I'll begin.
The system is intentionally restrained. Most pages live in cream and burgundy. The deep indigo and the gold-rose glow are precious — they earn their place by appearing rarely.
Cream for the everyday. Indigo for the threshold. Gold for the welcome home.
One mark, two finishes
The indigo finish lives on cream; the white finish lives on indigo and at the foot of every page. Always plenty of breathing room — never crowded by other elements.
Nineteen colours, five families
Every colour has a role. The deep tones (indigo, burgundy) carry weight and only show up where they earn it. The warm tones (cream, taupe) carry the everyday. Gold and rose are the magical accent — used sparingly.

Cormorant Garamond carries the body and the headline. DM Sans handles labels and buttons. Pinyon Script appears only as flourish — never as functional text.
Awaken your harmonium
A devotional craft, taught with warmth and rigour
The five fundamentals of right-hand technique
"After three months I'm leading kirtans I never thought I could lead — and the harmonium feels like an old friend."
Awaken
The harmonium has carried devotional song for two centuries. Its bellows breathe with you, its reeds answer the smallest pressure of your fingers. Learning it well isn't about racing through scales — it's about sitting with the instrument long enough to let it teach you back.
The pieces, up close
The pieces every page is built from. Buttons are sized for confidence; the gold accent button is reserved for the magical CTA only.
I'd been trying to teach myself for two years. After three months with Kenny, I led my first kirtan — and people sang along.
Five backgrounds, five moods
Each section in a page lives in one of these five backgrounds. Alternating between them creates a natural reading rhythm. The magical treatment is reserved.

Three ways to frame a photo
Photographs always carry one of these three frames. The offset shadow box is the workhorse; the others are used sparingly for variety.

Awaken
your harmonium
From your very first chord to leading kirtans — with a strong, devotional voice that's truly your own.
Online courses and personal mentorship in Indian harmonium. For devotional singers, kirtan leaders, and anyone who feels the calling to play.
The harmonium is patient. Most teachers aren't.
When I started learning, I drowned in YouTube tutorials. Some were good. Most were random. None of them showed me the path. So I built the school I wish I'd had.
Harmonium Evolution is a step-by-step path from your first key to leading kirtans with confidence. Mari Joël and I teach the way we learned: slowly, properly, with attention to your hands and your voice and your breath all together.
You don't need to be musical. You need to be willing to sit with the instrument.

Whether you're picking up the harmonium for the first time or stepping into mentorship, there's a doorway sized to where you are now.

Two voices, one school
Kenny
I founded Harmonium Evolution after years of teaching one-on-one and realising that the same questions came up again and again. The school is the curriculum I wished existed when I first sat down at the instrument. I teach the harmonium itself: posture, technique, repertoire, kirtan leadership.
Mari Joël
I'm a singer-songwriter and vocal coach. I've been singing mantras and bhajans since I was little, and I teach the voice side of the school — how to sing devotionally without strain, how to find the voice that's actually yours, and how to weave singing and harmonium into one practice.
What students are saying
I had tried to learn from YouTube for two years. Three months with Kenny and I'm leading my first kirtans. The path is so clear.
Mari Joël changed how I sing. I always thought I "couldn't" — turns out I'd just never been taught the fundamentals. Now I sing every morning.
Worth every euro. The Stage Two course is the most thorough harmonium curriculum I've found anywhere — and I've looked.
Let's begin
The path is waiting. The instrument is patient. All that's left is the first step — and we're here for that.
